Cancer Patients: Life-saving conventional treatments are complemented by Jin Shin Jyutsu®
My Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) practitioner and mentor, Jill, gave a class called “Critical Labels” in which she shared her story of receiving a terminal diagnosis when she was in her 30’s. Her personal health had been excellent, until she mysteriously became very ill. Her ideology about health was one that eschewed conventional medicine. Period.
She was diagnosed with lymphoma, bringing a crisis that challenged her ideas and philosophy of natural, healthy living. But without this medicine, Jill would widow her husband to raise their two young daughters alone.
Jill prayed: “Please help me to use this medicine for everything good that it can do and may I get rid of the rest.” In that moment she embraced Western medicine without reservations. She started the chemotherapy and began to feel better and better, even though it is a cumulatively toxic process. She had a complication that necessitated a bone marrow transplant , for which she was given a 50% chance of survival. But Jill survived and left Stanford Medical Center three weeks sooner than expected. Her oncologist called her “Wonder Woman” and because he was very interested in having an integrative practice, he brought Jill on to work with the patients in the Oncology Center.
Both the Western therapies and Jin Shin Jyutsu, together, brought Jill to the best possible outcome! I’m so happy to know her and receive her generous teaching and mastery of Jin Shin Jyutsu. She is always available to advise me as I work with critical care patients in my practice in Sonoma.
A winning combination for all cancer patients is sessions with a JSJ practitioner for regular “house cleaning”, which opens your energy pathways to receive the benefits of conventional medical treatments. Your JSJ practitioner will teach you a simple self-help flow to use before and after each chemo or radiation treatment. The benefits include increased calm, reduced pain and nausea, reduced effects of toxic side effects, and a return to energy and vitality. This support during and after your treatment can help ease you back into your place in the world, balancing body, mind and spirit.
