Harmony for stress, chaos
Finding calm when the wild winds blow
There is a film I have not seen because the very title of it gives me agida: Everything, Everywhere, All at Once
Just to be clear, it may be a wonderful film, but the visceral feeling I have when too many things happen ‘all at once’ was once a real liability for me. Early in my years of study and having Jin Shin Jyutsu, sessions with practitioners, my pulses were pounding and my body was visibly tense. I was breathing high up in my chest and my head ached. The practitioner applied a flow series that was very effective and encouraged me to use it on myself for the next two weeks until I saw her again.
To keep it very simple for you I suggest this abbreviated but still highly effective flow:
Lay comfortably on your bed or in your recliner. Begin by placing your right hand on the crown of your head and your left hand on your public bone. Breathe naturally for several minutes then take your right hand from your crown and slide it under your tailbone or coccyx. Continue to breathe and relax for several minutes.
The next step you will repeat 3 times: place your right hand under your left armpit so fingers touch the outside edoge of your shoulder blade and the thumb is just under your collarbone. With your left hand place fingers on the top of your foot just above your little and ring toes. This spot may feel tender. We call it “Harmonizing Chaos” or SEL 24. Find your comfort and after some minutes switch sides. Then repeat. Take your time. The outcome is assured and totally worth the effort.
I have applied this Harmonizing Chaos flow and been amazed every time. I return to a calmer place. I feel well-being and energy to move forward with whatever is in front of me. You will too!
