Fatigue isn’t in your head …
Jin Shin Jyutsu Self-Help for Fatigue
Mysterious and insidious, fatigue can occur in any body, even the most energetic, productive person. Or is it THAT person who is equally vulnerable?
My personal voyage into and through the effects of fatigue is rooted in years of overdoing when my energy seemed to have no bounds. In our 30’s. 40’s and maybe into our 50’s we are working, earning, in relationship and maybe raising kids plus doing stuff that keep the household working for all. But when I began to have bouts of insomnia, things changed and in my late 50’s, an afternoon nap or at least an hour of quiet and rest, was needed to recharge me.
Later, in my study of Jin Shin Jyutsu I connected with a wise practitioner who has since become my mentor. I learned that fatigue is a disharmonizer and our energy cannot circulate freely throughout the body so it builds up in our joints, affecting our arms and legs causing stagnation. My sessions with her opened pathways and then I applied self-help to keep vitality flowing through my body, lifting my spirits, and clearing my mind!
A simple self-help you can use is to lay down and be comfortable, breathing fully. Place your fingers on the crown of your head to left and right of center. Relax and breathe. In 20 minutes, more or less, you will feel the weight of fatigue begin to dissolve. This is recommended as a daily practice. I also add two other self-help flows for my clients with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.
